    S380 vs S270 (battery life)

    i'd like to ask if there's a difference in the battery life between the S380 and the S270 ..

    S380 and S270 are both self-built models. Battery life would vary widely depending on how you configure your system (CPU, wireless, hdd, etc.) Please be specific.

    a 2ghz centrino processor.. with 100Gb harddisk.. 1gb ddr ram ..

    The main difference between S380 and S270 is that the prior is Sonoma + GeForce Go 6200, the later is Centrino + Radeon Mobile 9700. (Sonoma = Centrino II, in case your wondering...)

    If you just want a general feel of how the battery performs, go to SonyStyle download their spec sheet and see for yourself.

    Sonoma laptops have half the battery life of non sonoma laptops.

    Intel has made a big mistake with sonoma. It is not suitable for half the laptops out there.

    270 is non sonoma and better in every possible way...

    Look at asus W5A or the sony 63xxx ones.

    sony says that s3xp gets 3 hours and s2xp 5 hours

    S3XP sucks! its heavy than S2 and it also have a heavy power plug...

    i will go for T2XP
