Hi everyone....just got off the sonystyle site and all the new models are listed. S430/460/460P/470 are now added to the configurable S480 on the website. Prices for the aforementioned are 1699, 1899, 1999, 1999. The only difference I could see betweent the 460 and 470 was that it appeared to have the 64MB onboard version of the Geforece 6200TC. After reading Tom's Hardware review of this card...the 32MB onboard version is apparently faster because of a lower memory frequency on the 64MB version. Probably not worth upgrading. The 430 downgrades to the integrated GMA900 Intel card which sucks for video performance (also see Tom's Hardware review). Interestingly...I just saw the S460B listed at bestbuy for the 1899 price with a 100 dollar rebate (1799 total). Not Bad. Another interesting bit....the configurable S480 available on the sonystyle site....configures to $80 more expensive ($1979) with the same specs as the S460....considering that this is available for 1799 at best buy by the end of the month...I would consider not customizing unless you want the built in bluetooth or an upgraded processor/memory in which case you'll go over $2000 easily. Bear in mind that Sonoma chipset/processor aside, this does include a 5400RPM SATA 80GB drive and the DVD/RW in the base S460 system (along with the XBRITE screen the one DIMM 512MB and the dedicated graphics card). Talk to you all soon.
