    Where is the original 1GB RAM Module in the S5XP ?...I just can't find it....the underneath ram cover once opened is empty...so I know its inside...how di get to it....I want to take out the single 1GB and replace it with 2 512 pieces.

    well, this is a strange decision but I guess you know better.
    Look here for the second slot and memory upgrade answers (there is a user manual in that page)

    I checked that and downloaded the manual beforehand ...but could not find anything...it only tells you about the upgrade slot.

    The manual shows exactly where under the keyboard the second slot is (or the first one if you prefer). Page 109. Obviously Sony did not intend you to change this memory easily...HP used to do it, too. Good luck.
