    SA cd drive won't turn off

    I set the cd drive to be on auto off so that on battery it would shut off.

    Well, I can't get it to shut off. I tried to manually shut off the cd drive by clicking 'power off' and that didn't work either.

    Any help on this matter?

    does it actually save a decent amount of battery life?

    it wil turn off after a few minutes.
