I've had this issue with my VPC-EB390X but I was surprised to see it is still a problem with my new VPC-SA390X. The battery meter is accurate as long as you don't do a Windows Hibernate. For whatever reason when resumed from a hibernate state the battery meter will show a much lower percentage than when it was hibernated, however, the percentage seems to hold for a long time before it starts dropping again. My thought is that the initial reading is much lower than the actual but once started it corrects to the proper level.

As with my EB3, this is really only an issue when the battery is low and the laptop won't start because the false reading is below the minimum threshold. For example, the battery was 15% when hibernated, but when resumed the level is reported as 5%.

Has anyone else noticed this behavior? I don't see it on my Dell laptop so I don't think it is a Windows issue. If it is a BIOS issue is there any way to get Sony to resolve it? Thanks,

    Steve
