I have a FX145E and only recently went to try to read a SD card for the first time. I can insert the card but when I press the card in and release it will not stay in the locked position. When I press the card in and hold it in manually, it is recognized in explorer. Is this a problem that others have experienced or am I doing something wrong? My digital camera has a similar push to lock/push to release feature so I'm familiar with the basic operation.

The latch to hold it in place is broken inside. You could contact Sony if you are still within your warranty period to see what they can do for you.
