Well, it would have to be a bit bigger, so that it could surround the SZ. :) The official case is a good bet - and if you are concerned about your new SZ, I would get a sleeve as well.

Yes, but my concern is if the case is bigger than necessary. Also, does anyone know if the front pocket of the Sony case has a zip?

    Thanks. The sleeves look good.

However, the reason that I am looking at the Sony Vaio case is because I am thinking of putting other stuff in there and not just the notebook. Stuff like the AC brick, mouse, CD/DVD media, portable USB HDD and a USB keys.

The timbuk2 commute bag is big and I am not looking for a backpack. I am trying to figure out if the Sony or Sumdex case (links in the first post) is the best fit that will hold all the extra stuff..

So what do you guys recommend?

    TIA

For all that extra stuff you need a bag.

Can you fit in anything in the main compartment with the computer? The front pocket does not look like it will hold too much. Does anyone own the case?

Hello all...I've got an SZ340 coming and I think the Shinza Zeroshock is the case for me. Which is the right size for this model idex, the 13"? Is it snug?

Yes, the shinza is snug. It saved my laptop from a spill (fell out of my backpack) and hit the cement. No damage. Well worth it in my opinion.

Oh, and yes, the 13 inch widescreen is the one you want.

How about ELECOM Zeroshock III, some european company, claims a lot of heavy shock absorbtion, found it on ebay for around 35$ shipped. I am not too sure if i want to buy it or not. I just ordered a SZ440, do you think its recommended? I am going to be using it primarily for work. Btw, i am glad to find a great deal of SZ support here. Thanks for helping the sony n00bs :)
