    Hello everybody,

I don't know if the following information has already been discussed on this forum or not, but I just discovered the following Sony Vaio Support Page (USA website) that lists all the drivers, etc needed to make your SZ and TZ notebooks work on XP!

    http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/swu-list.pl?mdl=VGNTZ190NB&LOC=3

Under this link, select the "Install Another Operating System" tab, then select "Select an operating system to see files" on the subsequent page, and then "XP" as the O/S, and a boat-load of driver and application files get listed for the TZ notebooks! Under each file download link, there are detailed instructions on how to install these files for XP.

Hope this is helpful to all those people like myself who want to ditch Vista and install XP on their new Vaios. Good luck.

I have the tz191 with vista business. I dont see any problem with it. The only thing it "cant" do is play games. I really dont care about games. thats what I have my psp and ps3 for.

Would it really be much better and nicer to have xp? I have a spare xp os cd lying around from an old computer. so... I dont know what to do

If you dont have US version of TZ (like we with japanese TZ9x or European TZ11 or TZ2x) download file you want and use universal extractor - it will extract the installer and show you only drivers or app you need (either way you wont pass model check which is integrated in Sony onstallers)

And I thought that just recently, Sony would give absolutely no support to these notebooks regarding any OSs besides Vista. :p
