    LOL...
Hmm. The new 'thing' seems to be youth orientated. And whatever is youth-orientated from my view is inferior to business / performance based systems (duh). Probably loaded with social networking apps like facebook and twitter shortcuts and the likes...

Considering how Sony a week or so back stated that they are out-sourcing some of their lower designs to Chinese third parties, I would prefer on skipping this altogether. I mean, seriously... (If) it's for the youth, I wouldn't be counting on the build and performance specs to be overwhelming... unless Sony goes on ahead and invents a new niche like the darn iPad is doing...

A potential new P has been sighted on the FCC website.

For a refresh you wouldn't think that Sony would go to this extent. They would just silently update this model. They must have made some pretty big changes. May be they have gone touchscreen.

The P fits into the ultra mobile category and 11 in notebooks do not so i don't think that this is an ultraportable.

What i would like to to see in a new P.

Bettery battery life of the standard battery.

Considering the luke warm reception of the original P, I would say that yes, this is exactly what Sony would do.
It'd be much like Microsoft did, hyping Windows 7 instead of announcing it as a Vista refresh.

Hopefully someone will lose one on the floor of a bar soon so we can see it.

Perhaps someone already did, and no-one bothered to pick it up...

I agree it is too over the top for a refresh of the P series.
    Sony always surprises though

I don't connect the FCC to this as there are no teaser campaigns in the US and normally things take a couple of months to come over from Japan.

I swear it looks like a new line of clothing ad if not for the mention of Windows 7.
