    Hi all

I am looking at a German made SVZ13 (this years vaio z) but the user says premium black but insist its not glossy finish.

my understanding is that there was a black which is not glossy black, then carbon black, which has the brushed aluminium carbon fiber but is not glossy. Then the premium black which is carbon fiber aluminium look but is glossy.

can someone confirm what the finish is like?

also would it be possible to upgrade the 1600*900 screen to full 1920x1080 like you could vie the Z2?

i have seen the screen on ebay and was wondering if it would be worth a go?

    thank you

Yes, that was a premium finish (the most expensive option, if I remember correctly).

As for the display, the 900p version is actually much brighter and has higher contrast than the 1080p. I would keep it.

    Hi

thanks for the confirmation the finish

I really need the 1080p screen as I need the space when programming anything lower and it quickly start to become a pain.

do you know if it should be possible to replace the LCD to higher resolution?

I know several people have done this transformation on their Z2 but never seen a svzZ13

    thanks
