    Hello again,

Can you people owning a VPC-Z please inform me on the working temperatures you get for the CPU i7 cores as well as the DTS? When the computer is idle the cores are at about 55 deg Celsius and DTS at 54. Is this normal? The nvidia gpu core is also at 55. I use Hardware Monitor to check this.
    Any comments, greatly appreciated.

    That seems fair.
As for the temperatures being fairly similar, remember that the CPU and GPU are connected through heatpipes that go to the same copper block on the fan end.

    Relax, those temps are fine.
The VPU temps hit around 89 when playing high intensive games.
But of course this is fine.

    Is this your first laptop?
I noticed that people who come from desktops are obsessed with getting their temps to idle at 38 like you can on a desktop.
Trust me 55 if totally fine.

Ahh, that explains the higher CPU temps when my GPU is on...

I get my GPU/CPU to 96C/98C respectively while gaming. And yeah, a laptop like the Z is so thin yet has so much packed within it, there's going to be a problem with airflow. The Z however, actually has good airflow, keeping the surfaces pretty cool, except the bottom has almsot all the intake vents which makes keeping it on your lap not very smart.
