I just noticed that a sqlservr process is running....can't remember seeing it before.....but the problem is my WINDOWS/TEMP folder is filling up with thousands of these "zero byte" files.

    They look like this:

    dec24.tmp
    dec25.tmp
    dec26.tmp
    dec27.tmp

and so on......and at the bottom are these two files:

    Perflib_Perfdata_3b0.dat
    JET7493.tmp

I erase all this, and it keeps coming back!!! When I discovered this on Friday...there were over 9,000 of these files in WINDOWS/TEMP.

The only app in the ADD/REMOVE program is called:

Microsfot SQL Server Desktop Engine (VAIO_VEDB)

Is this the culprit and can I erase it without harming something??

My virus/spyware (BitDefender 10) software shows NO problems.

    Any help is greatly appreciated!!
