    Hi,

I've been using a S5XP for a couple of years now and am looking for something new so I went to buy the above laptop from a Sony Style shop today but the premium carbon fibre lid seemed to be brown instead of black - are they all this colour?

    Thanks

    John

Does anyone know? Seems to be quite a few on here who own this laptop?

Sony recently released various colors for their lids, however I think their only available in Japan. The US premium carbon fiber lid(I would imagine the UK as well) is brown. The regular premium versions are black.

Yep, it is more "brown" than "black" especially under different lighting angles/conditions.

    I have this premium... (SZ71VN/X)

The color is more darkbrown, rather than black...

It looks much better with this dark brown color.... :)

Yup appears to be more brown, although you really do have to look closely in certain light to see it's not black. Just IMHO.
