Well folks, it is fairly simply inquiry.

Does anyone know where I can obtain the driver for the aforementioned title above? That is to say, the Sony VGP-UTVAX1 TV Tuner driver?

I migrated my Sony VGN-AX580G Notebook OS from Windows XP MCE (came with the notebook) to Windows Vista and now can not use my TV Tuner. When I plug it in, Vista is aware of it, trys to find a driver for it but is unable to do so. It reccomends the diver which came with the hardware but, of course, I do not have it. I have noticed that Microsoft did not care about several things in this migration so, for example, my touch pad does not have a driver for Vista as well.

Anyway, should anyone have a recommendation or solution, please respond to this thread.

I thank you for reading it,

    Herbert

These should be drivers for your computer for Vista: Sony eSupport - VGN-AX580G - Software Updates & Drivers

I think the touchpad one might be under System Components: Sony Programmable I/O.... but that's just a guess.

Another guess is that your tuner is the DVGate driver?

    Hope it helps.

Thank you, very much, for your reply, sir.

Well, I did not mention it but I decided to re-install the Vista OS using a DVD from a friend. I then acquired the license for it from Microsoft, as it had record of my payment to upgrade to Vista. After completing the install, I used "Sony Download Taxi" to install all upgrade to drivers and Sony software. The Sony Vista driver upgrades do not have a driver for the pointing device nor the TV Tuner, thus my delimma.

What is frustrating is that I bought a notebook for all of its capability but can not use one of the features I used to be able to use.

Again, if anyone can recommend where to go and acquire the drivers, please respond.
