This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Hi There,

    I have just had my sony vaio crash, I have had it for a while therefore decided to buy a new hard drive..all seems to be running ok except I now have no sound..I have asked so many people this question and have yet to find a solution..I have downloaded all the software possible from the vaio site and still no resolution. The volume keys are all grey and my system syays I have no sound drive installed..
