I just installed Vista SP1 on my SZ650 and almost everything is working right.. except the fingerprint scanner (UPEK)

I can no longer "single swipe" a fingerprint to get me past BIOS AND into Windows. It always stops at the Windows Login screen, forcing me to click a username and swipe again (or manually type in domain password).

In Protector Suite QL Control Center, I verified "Allow to bypass windows login" and "allow power on security single sign on" are checked.

Anyone else have this issues? Worked fine before SP1 upgrade.

Just tried upgrading from Protector Suite QL 5.6 to 5.8 and same problem with single swipe login not working. Also updated UPEK drivers to the latest version from their website.. no difference :(

You should contact MS about this issue.

I suppose I could, but I bet you they will say its an issue with the 3rd party software. Worth a try though..

ss_blake: I've just sent you a private message with my direct e-mail contact info. We are very interested in analyzing and solving your problem since we haven't encountered similar problems during our tests of our PS QL software neither on Vista nor on Vista SP1.

Or contact our support via http://www.upek.com/support/customersupport/form/ if you haven't done this already.

    Thanks.

    Best regards,

Up until my recent install 2 days ago I had the single sign-on feature working fine on Vista SP1 (Business).

I'm not sure if the fingerprint sensor driver is different than the one I've been using since my last Vista+SP1 clean install. I've checked the settings over a number of times now and enable the Windows and BIOS passwords in the order I usual do.

Anyway, just letting you know it's not a SP1 issue as I did have it working until 2 days ago.
