Go back to the Win 7 driver, then see if there is a registry key like this.
    HKCU,"Software\NVIDIA Corporation\Global\NVTweak",QTwkEnableModeChangeWarning

If there is, delete it. (Note: backup your registry first).

btw. where did you get that driver from? This key should have been deleted during driver installation.

I am having a similar issue (it has been over 15 or 16 months already since I updated to Win7 Pro 32bit) and haven't been able to adjust the brightness of the screen when switched to SPEED. How can I get the Win 7 driver? I went onto the Sony Support page, and it is telling me the same thing that I should use the Win 7 driver. Thanks in advance.

sony recommends you download and install drivers in this order:

edit: you should do it this way as many people have fresh installed and come up with problems like you

don't forget to rep him if you can :)

istyle1129 please do this, because i just solve my problem now :)

simply just download the BIOS for win.7 and update it that will be the solution.

now my Vaio Z work fine with both modes Speed & Stamina with Brightness and Volume Control.

thank you every one for giving the help.

    Regards

    yousef
