For SR owners: When you unplug the ac adapter while the laptop is on, does it automatically change the power plan mode?
When I unplug the AC, my laptop automatically changes from optimized to power saver. Is there any way i can change that? I can't find the option to do that...

Also, has anyone used the battery care function? What are the pros and cons? Does it prolong battery life?

Edit: figured it out, i was using vista battery saver...

Mines stays with the same power plan I set it on. I don't recall doing anything to have it this way. I recall it happening with my other Vista laptops however. I think there's an option in the settings of Vista power management.

I'm not too familiar with Battery Care, but it essentially limits the charging capacity of the battery to preserve battery life or something to that effect.

Mine stays on the power plan that it was on before I unplugged it. Though, in the power settings, it allows you to choose what it does plugged in and unplugged. If I unplug my laptop, the screen will dim and the optical drive will turn off. When I plug the adapter back in, the screen will brighten and the optical will turn back on.
