Hey guys i am stuck! I cannot pick which computer i want to get next month.
I am VERY interested in two models, the SR and the FW. Both look and feel awesome when i checked them out at the store but I still cannot pick.

How is the heat on both of them when gaming?

How are they both with gaming? ( I am only interested in playing two games Diablo III and maybe World of Warcraft )

How are they taking around to different places?

    How do both screens compare?

    Which computer is better?

I cannot think of anything else.

Depending on what particular model you get.

If you are intending on moving around a lot get the SR (assuming of course you can not afford the Z). If you aren't moving around as much get the FW for a larger screen and potentially more powerful GPU. Various models of the FW and SR actually come with the same GPU so really it comes down to what model with what GPU you can afford, so your budget would be helpful.

A 3450/70 GPU should be fine for World of Warcraft and probably Diablo III. However Diablo III hasn't been released yet so we can't give you solid confirmation but blizzards tradition of being requirement friendly suggests you should be fine. I would recommend if you looking at more of a compact gaming system you should at least take a look at the Dell studio XPS series.

In terms of heat it is likely both models will produce enough that it will be uncomfortable to use on your lap after a decent period. In terms of screen quality I imagine the two will be relatively similar, perhaps a slight edge to the FW depending on what model you get. The higher resolution the FW has will mean that if you like to run games at native resolution you maybe better off with the SR.

    Thanks for the info.
I am only looking to spend $1,300.00 on a laptop. I will only be doing light gaming and i know Diablo III has yet to give us specs on what we will need but i am sure the current FW and SR will have more then enough to play it.

I really want to get a laptop that won't need a cooling pad to keep the temp. down every time i use it. I have read many threads on the XPS laptops and that they get Hot...not warm but Hot. Everyone on the Sony forums say Vaio laptops deal with heat well. Plus the Vaio laptops look much better to me.

Oh and the Z is an awesome looking laptop but it's a little too pricey lol.

Does anyone else have any other thoughts on the SR and FW model?

I had a HP before and didn't have a good experience. The graphics card went ( Sent it in got fixed ) Then the motherboard went. So i figured Sony would be a good change since their products are well made.
