yea.... i would hope that since i have the SR coming anyday now, it would at least match the FW Dual Lamp (or in USA the hi colour) screen

It's not that bad. Honestly, it doesn't even look that bad in real life. I was worried at first the screen would be horrible but after seeing it in person, the colours are vibrant and crisp. Plus, you can always tweak colour balance in the ATI menu. You haven't seen bad until you've seen my Toshiba screen. :p

    Another question guys

FW has the 3470 with 256mb and the SR with 128mb

That does not mean the performance will be worse right? I figure FW has 256 because it needs more to run at the higher resolution right?

I guess so. To be honest, the Sony Store here in Canada don't even have the SR on display so I couldn't compare them but I don't see why it wouldn't have a nice screen.

Depends on what gaming you do.

For example, the new Call of Duty: World at War game requires at least 256 MB of vRAM. I don't know how it will run on 128 MB but I guess the difference here is between being able to run the game (even on bare minimum detail and resolution) versus not being able to run it at all.
