    SR vs. Z gaming perfromance

    For some reasons I thought that the SR's 3470 video will perform better than the Z's 9400GS. however, I just talked to sony's rep and he told me that it is quite the opposite. He told me that I would experience superior gaming (not by a big margin tho) with the Z series laptops.

    Is it true? could you guys elaborate on this little bit

    i believe the sale's rep job is to convince you to buy the most expensive sony product possible :p

    that said, i don't think you'd see a big difference between the two. If you can't play a game at acceptable settings with one, you're likely not to either with the other

    the gaming performance is so similar you can just say that they're the same

    in some tests the Z's performed better, in other's the SR's, they're really the same

    How much of that is related to the processors available to the Z? Does the Z have faster DDR3 ram? The only games I bother playing on my Z are games from www.gog.com (old school).
