So I followed the downgrade to XP guide for the 290 but the only problem I'm still having is that it won't recognize my CD/DVD drive even if I install the driver (SOOOTH-01106200-US.EXE). It definitely works because I installed Windows from a CD and it says the driver is installed but the drive can't be found. Any help? Thanks much!

    hi,
there is an inf file you need i guess. I solved it at my 140E and it worked under windows 2008 server.

You must right click and install it. I dont have it now but you can find it from the search engines with the CD-DVD model no and inf combinations....
