OK - I have a Z590 that I upgraded to a Seagate 7200.3 320GB drive when I purchased it about a month ago, today I purchased a Patriot 128GB Warp V2 drive. I am unsure if I should install the SSD - I read so many mixed reviews shuddering etc on this forum, perhaps I should wait for the Intel X25 120GB drive?

The Patriot Warp will most likely start stuttering as soon as you use it more heavy.

Normally I'd say just try it. But the Z isn't that easy to replace the hard drive. But you probably already know that.

$349 - yes it is not easy to replace the hard drive and I really only want to do this once. Perhaps I should wait for the intel 120GB SSD to come out?

The next biggest capacity for the Intel SSDs will be 160GB, but you'll probably have to wait till March next year for it to surface and it will cost 3X of what you paid for the Patriot.

Yeah man don't do it. Your 7200.3 will be faster in heavy multitasking situations and write performance. It's a lot bigger too, and HDDs aswell as SSDs get slower when they are over 80% full.

SSD is not ready yet. Wait for it to be a bit more stable and a lot cheaper. I don't think the increased speed is currently worth the downsides. Price, Storage capacity, stability etc etc.

I agree, I returned the drive today - interestingly enough I purchased the drive for $349 but when I returned it the next day it had gone up to $399 - interesting.

Most retailers use a weekly promotional period for there sales and advertisements that typically runs from Sunday through Saturday. Since you bought in on Saturday and returned it Sunday, you may have caught it on the last Sales day when you bought it and returned it on a non sales day when it was back at regular price.
