I was wondering if anyone had info on using a SSD drive in a Sony VAIO SR notebook. I was wanting to get a 64 or 128 GB SSD drive, use that in the mini express card slot, and be able to leave my existing hard drive in my PC.

The point of this would be to boot from them SSD in the express card slot. This would used for the OS and main programs.

Does anyone know if you can boot off of a SSD drive in the express card slot?

i was wondering that as well, but the express card ssds are usually slow. It sucks because the pci express is faster then esata anyways. this would leave a hdd thats available to store the data while running the vaio on an ssd to get same benefits, sucks though nothing is out there.
