So, after three years of hard daily use my TT190 is pretty much worn out. The final blow was when a short circuit occurred at the power socket and burned the case.

I have ordered a new Z2 (yay!) to replace it.

But I also have a TZ195 which I only used for a year before buying the TT. The TZ is much better made than the TT and has a better screen. I only upgraded because the hard drive (at 48g) was too small. Since I only used it for a year, the TZ is in perfect condition.

I would like to throw away the TT and keep the TZ on my boat for navigation. Can I swap out the hard drive for the 128g drive from the TT? How about the memory (4g in the TT versus 2g in the TT)?

One last question -- I believe the Z2 uses a 19 volt power supply, correct? So that means that none of my big collection of 16 volt power supplies I accumulated with the TZ and TT will work, correct? :(

TT uses a 1.8 micro Sata while the TZ 1.8 zif Pata
TT uses DDR3 ram while TZ DDR2 and max ram is 2gb (1 slot).

So that means that neither hard drive nor memory can be exchanged between them? :( bummer.

If storage is a concern on your TZ throw in MyDigitalDiscount.com and you are good to go even with 2gb.

That's a native ZIF PATA I see. But 48 gigs to 60 seems hardly worth it :( And the 120 and 128 gig ZIF PATA drives cost the moon :(
Looks like I might be better off selling the TZ and repairing the TT, although the TZ is really nicer.

Repairing your TT will cost way more than adding a bigger SSD on your TZ.Besides you got a Z2 and the TZ will be used on your boat..

Yeah, I guess. I think I'll repair the TT somehow and sell it. I never liked it as much as the TZ. The TZ has a better screen and has a much more beautiful housing -- real-looking carbon fiber, even though the TT is also supposed to be "premium carbon", it looks like the plastic it is.

You know, I would simply put in some flash memory on ExpressCard, and that would probably do it. But I have bought two different ExpressCards and neither of them functioned on my TZ for some reason :( Maybe the bios needs updating? I wonder if this is a known problem?
