Doess SSD storage get full up over time? I asked this question because I had the sony vaio AW series runnig SSD which last year model. I have formatted many times with this laptop however, the SSD seems to get smaller overtime.

Now, with my Sony VPC-Z11. It does the same thing. Normally i format and reinstall the same app my extra space is 196 GB out of 232 GB(256 GB) and now it is 191 GB? where does my 5 GB go?

All the application that install remain the same and window are both update.

Guys, please enlighten me. Does this have to do with the non support of trim?

    Thanks in advance

Sounds like system restore - which will stores changes/updates and take up drive space over time. For the Intel SSD I have on my Sony FW had to turn off system restore to make trim function correctly. Normally trim took a few seconds. With restore on could take hours.... I use a image back-up software so restore was simply and extra precaution. With it turned off system maintains speed and hard drive stays fairly consistent in used space.

System restore, MSOCache for office install, Hibernation file, paging file, Search Index, etc. It's NOT an SSD thing.

Beaups u mention MSOCache, Hibernation, Paging file, I just format complete factory setting but it is still differ from the first formating size.
