    Hello,

I'm just waiting for my new VAIO S13 Premium to arrive and I'm interested on buying a Crucial 256 GB SDD to replace the 500 GB 7200 HD.

    My two questions are:

    1. A clean Win 7 install + SSD replacement would void my 1 year Sony US warranty? Or I need to keep the original HDD with the original full-of-bloatware W7 intact and change it back in the case I need to use the warranty?

    2. Can I buy any SSD or there is any spec that I need to consider to fit/be compatible to the S13? I'm looking for this one from Amazon.

    Thanks!

    1. it will not void your warranty to change your HDD with an SSD, but i'd suggest you keep your original HDD with the OS intact in case you need to send your laptop in for repair.

    2. that's one of the most recommended SSDs around. i have the same in my VAIO SA, and it's been rock-solid.
