I have an issue with the STOP button located on the laptop (VPCF237FX). It blinks randomly and if I try to play something in media player it stops whatever is being played as soon as it blinks and it prevents me from playing anything. The PLAY/PAUSE button doesn't lite up when I press it, FAST RWD and FAST FWD do lite up when pressed.

It blinks while Windows 7 is restarting even.

Is there a way to disable the onboard media player buttons? What am I doing wrong here?

I got it fixed. I downloaded something called Disable Quick Keys.exe and ran it and the blinking stopped. Apparently it took care of the media keys but the volume and brightness keys still work fine. Thanks!
