I don't think that's anything to be worried about.

My system uses 25% of the 8GBs I have according to some widget when nothing but the basic stuff is

Someone who knows more about this stuff can correct me on this but I thought Windows 7 reserves RAM for certain programs so they open faster because there is no point in having unused RAM.

Buying and installing RAM is pretty easy, go to RAM Memory Upgrade: Dell, Mac, Apple, HP, Compaq. USB drives, SSD at Crucial.com and use their memory advisor tool. It should help you find exactly what type of RAM you need.

If it has 3-rd Gen Ivy Bridge processor then you can buy 1600 Mhz RAM. It is DDR3 of course. Search for Corsair Vengeance 1600.

I assume the best deal for you is 8GB complect. 2 sticks 4GB each.

Where are you from? India? Then if you don't want to spend Extra money (as only in USA 1600Mhz RAM is very cheap while elsewhere it is still expensive) you can buy stock 1333 Mhz RAM. Slower but cheaper.

And the problem of it using ram is...? It's just Win7 precaching a lot so it responds faster, that's a good thing! If you launch an application that needs more, some of the cache gets dumped immediatly. What's the point of having a lot of ram if you always try to keep it empty?
