This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    SVE1512Y1E : Windows 7 Installation

    I just bought SVE1512Y1E and it came with Windows 8 Home Premium installed on it. Windows 8 causes many problems when I use Dev-C++, Eclipse for Android development...etc. and for these reasons I wanted to uninstall Win8 and install Win7 since it works like a charm with the tools that I mentionned.

    The problem is that, I can not boot the notebook from the CD/USB as I was used to do it on Dell XPS with Win7.

    Could you please help me to get rid of Win8 and install Win7?
