I've owned an SZ140 for about 10 months now. Initially I noted how cool it ran but lately (within the past few months) I've noticed that it can get quite hot really quickly. Is this typical of laptops in general or specific to mine and worthy of further investigation? Thanks! Z

Could be dust collecting up and blocking the opening where the fan exits.

    I think its dust.

Get one of those compress air can!

Maybe Ctrl + Alt + Del and see if your CPU is running at 100% 24/7. I know there are some virus/spyware like to "eat" your CPU resource.
