    Hi there,

I have a SZ483N of which this feature has never worked right for me... if I hook it up to a projector or external monitor via the VGA port, the laptop will not detect it. Very annoying when giving presentations. The only way I can get it to work is to power up the projector, plug it into the laptop, and then do a full restart so that it can be detected. Has anyone had a similar problem?

Hi and welcome to the forums!

This sounds more like a software issue and I'd recommend you installing newer VGA drivers from laptopvideo2go and see if that helps.
