It dpends, if you are doing intensive stuff on the laptop while its on battery. if your simply doing word processor, or surfing the web, then i don't think that battery life will be too much affected.

According to other threads in this forum, the upgrade from a T2300/2400 to T2600 will have a negligible effect on battery life.

Do a search on the forums for more.

Not much difference to worry about. All of these processors are built to the same specifcations. The 2.16 will take up a little bit of more power when running at full throttle but that would be very insignificant. At lower power states the difference will be nil. For general use you should not see any difference between the battery life.

I was thinking of doing that upgrade myself, but waiting for Mermon to come out.

300mhz will make it hotter and 1/6th of a power more. so I would say at full throttle, it may drain it about 5-10% faster? everyday use, you wont see a difference. all throttle to 1Ghz.
