Is it possible to have my SZ lid closed while on the dock and using the external monitor?

Currently I have it set so the laptop hibernates when the lid is closed, and clearly this will not work, but is there a setting somewhere which will let me close the lid when in the dock (and have the laptop screen be off) yet have the laptop hibernate when the lid is closed and it's NOT on the dock.

Thanks and sorry for being a techie idiot.

no i dont believe there are 'dock options' for that. its either do nothing when you close the lid, or one of the hibernate/sleep settings.
