    SZ - swap kb for silver?

    I just ordered a refurb SZ440, but unfortunately they only had the black keyboard in the config I wanted (reeeaaaly like the silver one). I was wondering if anyone has successfully swapped their black kb out for a silver one after the fact. I'm sure if you have sony do it, it won't be cheap :)

    It has been done and the process is fairly simple and straight forward. However, the keyboard is about $80 or more from Sony.

    Hmmm, if it can be had for around $80 I'd be game :)

    ***UPDATE***

    I just called sony parts dept and ordered what i hope is the right part for $52 plus tax and shipping (#147967552). The sales rep didn't seem overly confident and her english wasn't 100%, but I can always send it back if it's not right.

    I did end up ordering the silver kb, but had to return the sz to sony due to a defect before I had a chance to install it. If anyone is interested in a brand new silver sz keyboard for a good price, please PM me.

    Yeah, this is true. I actually like the look of the non-premium models more. BTW, the kb sold on ebay within a few hours of being posted.
