I have a 24" lcd hooked up to my docking station via DVI, when I dock the laptop, I have to press FN F7 to get the external lcd to activate. Is this normal? Shouldn't the laptop automatically detect that it was docked and activate the ext lcd? I am running XP PRO and have checked my settings for the auto detect. Also, when I undock, there are times when it will activate the laptop lcd and other times it wont.

One more thing, is there a way to emulate the FN key on to an attached usb keyboard? It would be nice to press FN F7 from my usb keyboard instead of opening the laptop screen just to activate the ext lcd.

    Thanks!
