    SZ Battery Not Detected

    Left my SZ230 on hibernate overnight, turned it on today and it says on AC power only and battery is "not present" even though the battery is clearly plugged in. if i unplug the computer it instantly dies. have tried restarting, but to no avail.

    any ideas? thank you.

    I left my SZ7 running overnight - it must have gone into sleep mode and it then claimed I didn't have a sony battery, wouldn't run on it (without ISB) and wouldn't accept it...

    I also couldn't start it.

    I got a new battery under the warranty...

    Do you see a rapidly flashing "battery indicator" when the AC supply is plugged in? I did.
    A new battery will then be the solution.

    PS: Friendly and efficient customer service from sony, I can't complain.
