So I've searched far and wide and probably stilled missed it.. How do I make my notebook discoverable via bluetooth? You know, like to pair it with something so that it shows up on the other device as being a bluetooth enabled device "nearby"? This allows you to initiate the pairing process from the other device. I'm sure i've just missed it. I'm running out of the box drivers and such with all updates (that I know of) installed on my SZ491N/X with Windows Vista Business. Thanks!

Just turn on your Bluetooth on your SZ. If you have the 'Wireless Device Switch' application installed, then just tick the 'Enable Bluetooth Device'. When you search for Bluetooth nearby with a mobile phone for example, it should see your SZ.

Thanks for your reply, but I cannot find this "Wireless Device Switch" Application. My bluetooth is turned on, but my SZ is not visible to other bluetooth devices?

Right click on the bluetooth icon in your taskbar...go to Options..Security tab...Custom level...you'll see the Discoverability mode option there...

Thanks! Found it. Never clicked that button--but must have clicked everything else in mean time. I appreciate it! :notworthy:
