I've spoken to two other people who have had trouble with the hibernation state. When coming out of it the machine freezes or goes to a blue screen for a moment and restarts.

Any other users with this problem? By the way, what is the difference between "hibernation" and "standby"? One member suggested simply progamming the SZ60 to go to stadndby instead of hibernation when closing the screen.

    Any thoughts, other suggestions, etc.?

Hibernation saves your memory state to disk, and completely powers off your laptop. No battery drain. When it boots it copies disk->memory and restores your state as you were.

Standbye leaves your state in memory, but as a result requires a small energy drain to keep the volatile RAM from losing your current working state.

I generally stick with hibernate for almost all occasions, esp with a fast laptop like this where the hibernate and back is quick.
