My SZ340 running XP SP2 now periodically loses wireless connection (a few times a day). It used to lose wireless connection very infrequently (once a month). I'm using a Linksys WRT150N router (with latest firmware). I believe that the router is fine because my Thinkpad (XP SP2) and my wife's Toshiba (Vista) do NOT lose the connection at all.

When my SZ loses connection, I can simply repair the connection and everything works great again. So, I guess it's a driver issue (in conjunction with some programs on my SZ). Has anyone had this issue? I'm using the latest driver from SONY, which was posted almost a year ago...

You could always try reinstalling the driver or setting up the whole connection over again...

Go find the OEM's driver. I also have a VGN-FS550 and had this same problem a year or so ago and started using Intel's drivers instead of Sony's. It worked much better overall. Sony always seems to be behind with OEM device drivers.

I will try to install Intel's driver. I already reinstalled the Sony driver and re-set up my home LAN but it still ocassionally loses wireless connection.
