i heard somewhere, that the SZ plugs have issues where users get shocked? does SZ have a replacement in place for this issue? and if so what's the best way to go about it? and also what models do they do this for.

    This is for a SZ370 P/C

You need to contact Sony and they will send you (for free !) replacement grounded (3-prong) AC adapter. And that's it. :)

    I never had a problem.

I exchanged my 2 prong plug for my FE. I got a free 3 prong and I still have the first one. Not sure what to do with it though.

Yeh I just ordered it, and no problems at all, should be here in 3 days. Did they send you the entire adapter, brick and all? or just the cord

I also got the replacement adapter for my SZ230 a while back. Try computer support number(1-888-476-6972) and explain to them that you are having issues with power adapter. They should be able to direct you to the right contact eventually. Don’t expect that you will get this on your first call. If you do, you should definitely feel lucky. :)

It's normal to receive information about how to send a defective product back right? I'm getting the impression they want my two-prong adapter. But reading the instruction says, if core value is 0 or not listed on packing list, then discard the item.

Well what do you know, it doesnt say anything. So the prepaid shipping label and all that good stuff can go to trash right?

Just being cautious. They note there will be a $200 charge if item is not returned within 45 days, but they don't have any of my financial information.
