Does the 7200 rpm hard drive from PortableOne run hot or is noisey in the SZ Series laptop?

not sure about the P1 default, but you can get a Hitachi Travelstar (7K100 HGST) from them if you ask. It runs quiet and not too hot. You can feel the heat in the area over the hd, but it's only warm and not hot.

Ivan (of P1) has said that they only use the Travelstar drives, so it shouldn't be a problem, but if you know that you specificaly want the 7K100 HGST, you might as well let them know when you order.

Remember the drives are SATA in the SZ.

I have the Seagate in mine - put it in day one. Works like a champ. Not hot at all.

My SZ90 has never ever gotten hot come to think of it.
