I know this was brought up in another thread as a replacement for the current Sony Power Brick, but I just wanted to post an FYI thread letting everyone know that they have a better "Package" version at Amazon vs the one you can buy at CompUSA and Circuit City:

    http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...f=pd_bbs_2/103-3930278-4863817?_encoding=UTF8

With the Circuit City version I had to buy the Sony Tips seperatly, and it cost me close to $140 after tax. The Amazon version not only comes with the proper Sony Tip, but also 6 other tips! Including one for the iPod if needed. It also comes with a small case and adapters for Cigarette Lighter and airplane travel. And at only 109.99 no tax and Free Shipping, I thought it was an amazing deal! Of course its much thinnner and lighter than the Sony brick and fits nicely in my new Targus 14" Sport case that fits the SZ notebook perfectly as well! The tip to use with the Sony is the N4 tip, and I tried it out and it works perfectly.

Hope this helps a few out!

No; it's straight, and kind of bulky.

I followed the link, but I couldn't see any information about package.

are you sure they provide airplane kit too?

    If you look at:

    http://us.kensington.com/html/6368.html

You will see all the tips it comes with, but it doesn't specifically mention the car/air adapter. If you click on the FAQ link on that page though, one of the questions addresses how to use the car/air adapter. On the packaging it also shows a picture of an outlets, a car, and a plane... and corresponding inside there are 3 seperate power adapter plugs (different than the 7 included tips). I will further look at the instructions when I get home though.

Im kinda of like a noob as far as notebooks go, so i have a couple questions:
    1) Will it work with the FE?
    2) Will it completely fill up your battery, or how does it work?(example please :) )

I originally had that more comprehensive package in mind, but I have not had any luck finding it in stock anywhere. That is the only reason I bought the Circuit City one, and added the tips I needed.

Yup, thats the one! Same model number and packaging. I still found Amazon to be a tad cheaper, considering there is still tak and shipping with Newegg.com... eitherway you can't go wrong! It's a nice unit!

Anyone know if the kits come with the PSP charging tip? Probably not I imagine. Still not a bad combo. I feel I need one that does aThinkpad, Ipod, PSP, and Sony SZ (and doesn't hurt if it works with everything else!)

Thanks for the heads up guys! I picked up one of these at Circuit City tonight, and WHOA is it smaller than the OEM adapter!!! Pictures do not do justice to how small and light this thing is, and the fact that I can charge practically any electronic device really makes this worth the money. I have to say, I'm very satisfied so far. Anyone know where to find the Treo 650 "smart tip" for this charger?
