I got my new SZ and set power-on pass and fingerprints. Shall I have some questions:

    1) I am curious to know if someone else, in case my SZ is stolen, can access my Critical Document?

    2) Any way to protect my SZ to ensure that I am the only person can access it.

    3) Where are all the fingerprints and registrations/pass located on the machine?

    Thank you so much.

I assume the fingerprint logon is highly secure, but there is also the option of a password entry, which I think can be disabled so that you can then only logon using your fingerprint. I keep my password entry logon just in case I swiped my finger across a few times too fast or something and it locks me out.

You can also set a BIOS password...that means that before the system or any OS boots, you have to type a password to unlock the computer. Right when you boot the computer a password prompt will appear. Type in the password, and then it will proceed to boot Windows or whatever OS you have.

To access the BIOS and set that password you press one of the F keys as soon as you see the Phoenix Technologies screen. On my previous desktops I've seen that to be F2, but its different for different computers.

What I'm trying to sort of play around with is enabling fingerprint logons for like entering passwords on various sites/etc. If anyone knows how to do that with the SZ Protector Suite I'd greatly appreciate it.

That tutorial works wonderful btw. Just mind that steps will be different in euro version (just slightly)

Is there any possibilities for someone else to clear the Passwords, fingerprint in Bios if the lappy is stolen?
