The specs say the cap is 2GB (2x1gb)... whats stopping someone from putting in a 2GB stick? Will it just not accept it?

Nothing is stopping a person from putting in 2GB stick. It'll actually work, just if you use 2x 2GB and are runnin XP/Vista 32bit, you won't be able to fully use the 4GB ram you have.

Or of course, 1x 2GB is fine and will work fine as well.
