Hey everyone. I got the biz upg. DVD and am now happily running Vista Biz.

After every installation, I always used to clean up "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run" so that unnecessary programs were not running at startup.

One question to all. In XP, my registry key at best could be slimmed down to at least 6-7 keys but I have slimmed my Vista to two. That is, Windows Defender and WMDC. Are you guys getting similar startup entries in the Registry Editor under this key

What I am getting at is am I missing any startup features. Thanks.

If you're installing a fresh copy of Windows on a formatted hard drive, you shouldn't have to prevent anything from starting up. I find that a clean Windows installation to be pretty lean.
