    Hello,

I am looking at buying an SZ440 laptop, but the ones I have seen at Bestbuy have a very grainy video picture when I launch the Vaio webcam utility. I tried adjusting the webcam controls, but no luck getting it to look sharp. What is strange is that when I use the webcam on the Sony 15" laptop, the video picture is very clear.

So, my question is to others that have an SZ laptop - does your integrated webcam produce sharp video on your screen when you use the webcam utility? Any ideas why the ones in the store do not?

The quality on my SZ460 isn't so hot. Actually I'm having trouble with it right now since when I make videos the sound + video doesn't sync up...

This is interesting because I have never had any problems with my webcam on my SZ370P. I wonder if there is a difference? I would assume not.

Yes, it is very perplexing to me that the more expensive computer would have terrible video from the webcam (at least using the Sony webcam utility) versus the less expensive 15" Sony laptop. I really tried every adjustment at the store, but no luck. I suppose I could buy a regular external webcam for video conferencing, but the internal one should produce much better video.

    any other comments/experiences are welcome...
