    Hey guys,

Today I was trying to install a second HDD in my SZ370, but since the machine is rather small to comfortably accommodate the caddy, i had to dig in and disassemble it almost to the bare chassis. When I pulled everything back together, I lost the sound in my speakers.
The known facts are the following:
    - Headphones do work. At least I can get some sort of sound from my PC.
    - When headphones are unplugged, the device manager shows that the sound is there, the levels, the balance, etc. Looks like I just don't hear it
    - Disassembling and reassembling didn't help.

The primary suspect now is the ANL board, I guess it has the sound chip in it, but correct me if I'm wrong. Unfortunately I do not have any testing tools handy, nor do I have a spare SZ to replace components one by one and nail down the culprit. Any suggestions? Doesn't feel quite right using a PC without sound =\

    Bump.
    Anyone, please?
I tried replacing the ANL 66 (power board), but it didn't help. Will try to replace the cable running from it to CNX-348, but I don't put much faith on that.

Check Windows and make sure it finds your sound card, also make sure the speakers are enabled in sound properties and set as default.

The speakers are plugged into the board with the power button (easy to get to). They have very short leads that are easily broken. These leads are also easily missed during re-assembly.

Beyond that, the best I can say is disassemble it again, preferably with the Sony guide, and make sure you re-attach everything.
