    Hello,

I've had my SZ110 for almost two years now. The battery doesn't carry much of a charge anymore, but my question regards the time/date on my system. I can understand if my laptop is off and unplugged that the battery will not keep my date/time active and I would need to set the date/time next time I use my laptop.

BUT... even if I am plugged into an electric outlet and the laptop is on, my clock doesnt work right. I'll set the correct time, but after a hour later, the time is off by 20-30 minutes.

Is this a laptop hardware issue, software issue, etc ?

    Thanks in advance,

The clock runs off the CMOS battery (usually a 25 watch battery) located somewhere on the motherboard. Replace that.

Definitely need to replace that battery...relatively easy to do if the laptop is designed well, and a watch or jewelry store would probably have the exact type of battery you need. Make sure the old and new are the exact same type though.
