Does anyone have the larger battery?

if so what are the gains that you get with it, and also what does it look like?

does it make the SZ sit unevenly? does it detract from the slim image?

    thanks for the help

I've only seen pictures, but I think it looks bad. For what little you'll gain from it, I would just get an extra regular battery to take along with you. That way you'll double your capacity (albeit at the expense of carrying an extra battery along), and maintain your stock slim profile. If I were forced to use the extended battery, I would buy the docking station to hide it.

    ;)

I can't find any of the SZ, but this should be pretty close to the same fit and proportions.

There is a reason Sony only provides the one image of the extended battery from that one angle. Actually, I think I've seen 2 angles, but they both hide how much the battery hump extends from the laptop.

On the older S series, the reason for the "hump" was that the battery helped lift up the back end of the unit. Not to mention on the old units, they couldn't make it go straight back becuase it would block the lid from opening.
